There is a lot to like about the mirrorless ‘revolution’ in camera technology and with the Sony A7, we now have the full-frame sensor option. In short, the Sony A7 is an awesome piece of kit.

I’ve written before about my dislike of having to lug around heavy and bulky DSLRs when I travel. The A7 fits just nice in terms of my needs for a travel camera. Combined with the kit lens, it is still slightly smaller than the D5100 which is in itself, a small DSLR.

I had a great time taking this beast of a camera out and I think I have already found the near-perfect gadget for my travels. I’ll just need to save up for the Sony Sonnar T* FE 35mm F2.8 now..
